About us

Who are we?

360 Imaging Solutions is a specialist 360-degree product photography studio based in the beautiful town of San Luis Obispo, California, located on the coast, half-way between Los Angeles and San Francisco. San Luis Obispo is well-known for its local wineries, friendly small-town charm, and unique nickname–“SLO-Town”.  360 Imaging Solutions began in 2009 with the development of the most sophisticated, technically advanced ActionScript program for creating and editing 360 degree product images.  This trade-secret-technology opened an intense gap between what is possible, and what is currently being done with standard photography studios.  With a passion for fanatically high image quality and a die-hard dedication to genuine customer care (yes, Zappos.com is our role-model), 360 Imaging Solutions was born.

Michael Allen – Owner/Photographer

Founder of 360 Imaging Solutions and co-fonder of Imajize, Michael runs the day-to-day operations of the company. A Psychology graduate from the University of California at Irvine, Michael studied abroad in New Zealand and fell deeply in love with photography.  Perhaps that might be an understatement–he transformed photography into his livelihood.  When he’s not working like a mad professor in a laboratory, he usually takes his motorcycle out for a long, relaxing ride across the sunny coastline of California.

Ryan Allen – Photography Assistant

The youngest of the two brothers, Ryan plays an important role with assisting each project from start to finish.  Whether it’s preparing a product for a shoot, studio set-up, or even modeling–he does it all.  His passions include: mountain biking, painting, graphic design, motorcycle trips, underwater basket weaving, and of course, his beloved French bulldog, Pierre.

Machi Kawakami – Administrative Assistant

The amazing organizational wizard of 360 Imaging Solutions!  No detail has been overlooked since adding her to our team.  From time to time, you might catch Machi spending her free time outdoors hiking, going on adventurous bicycle rides, and playing Mario Kart on the Nintendo Wii.
